This morning I called in a prayer request to the prayer time slot at a radio station that I call often. When I told Michelle the prayer request she said, "Wait a minute are you not still praying....? She remembered what I had asked for prayer for before over and over. Even though my faith had wavered and I had grown tired of waiting she reminded me what I should be praying still. I was kind of ...thinking "Well ok God, if it isn't going to be like this, I will settle for this." Michelle at the radio station spiritually slapped me back into reality. (Godly reality) That reality is that God's promises for me and my children are yea and amen. If He has promised it He will do it in His time. Don't grow weary and decide to settle for less. God loves your children more than you do.

On days that are filled with promise, pray. On days that are filled with pain, pray. God reminded me today whether pain or promise comes, He is the only reason I have hope. All things of this world are nothing compared to Him and the gift He freely gives to all who ask and believe. Without Him I am nothing. He is my salvation. He is my hope. He loves me even if I forget just how much He loves me on days filled with hurt and brokenness and pain. He loves me even when I forget to tell Him how much I love Him on days filled with joy and fullness and promise.

Sharing this tweet from my nephew Eric Taylor. Wow!
RT: You can't be afraid to stop and start over. Sometimes it takes a reset to get things working right.

Sometimes you have to show God you are serious about your relationship with Him. Even though He knows our hearts, our intentions knows our every thought even, it is still good to show Him you mean business. Actually, you are showing yourself and putting your trust for Him into action just like Abraham did when he showed God (and himself)that he was ready to sacrifice his son for Him. When Abraham had the knife drawn back to slay his son, God saw he was for real and provided a lamb for the sacrifice. Is there anything in your life you need to show yourself that you are absolutely ready to give up if God should ask you to? Has He already asked? What is your answer?

PastorTommy Galloway reminded me tonight in his teaching at Word of Life Church that as watchmen we are called to sound the alarm when we see those who have gone astray. Just as the Prodigal Son's Father waited for him to come back home, so is God waiting for all those who have walked away from Him to come home. We are to be salt and light in a dark world to those who have lost their way, not a stumbling block. Pray about people in your life who need to hear an alarm about the impending danger of hell. saying nothing is not what watchmen are called to do.

The hope of eternity is deeply rooted in each man's heart. As lives are lived day in and day out it is so easy to see only the here and now with all of its trials and circumstances that weigh us down and break our hearts. The enemy uses everyday life itself to rob us of hope of an eternity filled with glorious peaceful days to come when God will wipe away every tear from our eyes. We must keep our minds on that hope throughout each day, no matter how hard the day may be. God is in control and longs for us to endure to the end when our hearts will be healed - whole full of joy and unbroken, as we spend all eternity with Him.

So if you are hurt because those you thought were friends have forsaken you, you are angry with yourself because you allow it to hurt so much, and you are wondering how people you thought were such good people aren't... get over the hurt, the anger, and wise up... Only Christ has promised never to forsake you. He felt every hurt you ever felt... even a broken heart. The ones He called friend turned their back on Him too. Remember there is none good but God. Keep your trust and faith and hope in Him alone. He will NEVER leave you or FORSAKE YOu. He, unlike human friends, loves you unconditionally and will not turn His back on you ever.

About the Light... "Regardless of our surroundings, we are to exhibit Christ and His light. Our surroundings must not cover up the light we possess. We should spend less time in our well-lit "all Christian world" and more time shining His light in the darkness." ~ Brother Andy Dozier's

Got my armor on. Have you? Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places...13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

A poem I wrote while thinking of seasons ending.
Go with the flow?
The way I am sure to grow?
Hmm, I really don't think so.
Away, away, so easily I could be taken by the flow.
Where the flow is going does anyone even know?
The direction the flow is headed does anyone want to go?
Snakes slither - Bees buzz - Fireflies glow.
Is that a true color that just began to show?
Flowing, going, showing, drowning…. Oh no OH NO!
Survival- a worthy goal when “lifeguards” have sunk to an all-time low.
Against the current- the way the strong are usually forced to go.

This morning I woke up hurting really badly. I almost didn't go to church at all but knew it was my Sunday to teach. I got up and got ready to get there in time for the class about 1045. I am never late for church usually always early so this was a first for me. I pulled in and the lot next to the church where I always park was full. The parking lot at church was full. The places in the grass around the edge of the parking lot was full! At first, I thought that perhaps I wasn't supposed to be there, but then God let me know He wanted me to see how others who get there late see our church. I wonder how many drive away because they can't find a parking place. I've heard Pastor Tommy Galloway say this before but today God let me see it first hand. The harvest is great and the workers are few.... and so are the parking places it seems. WOLC let's pray for parking and plenty of room for the harvest God is sending our way.

Old things are passed away and behold all things are become new... We say the verse. We believe it. Others who once knew us before we were new creations in Christ can see the change. Years pass and we are still new creations, right? Even if no one remembers who we were pre-Jesus... we are still new. We know, but every once in awhile God sends us a little reminder and we remember to be thankful...
all over again. The things we once loved we now hate and the things we once hated we now love right? Tonight I saw a few minutes of an old movie from thirty-five years or so ago. I saw it when it was brand new at the theater. At the time nothing in the movie bothered me. I saw nothing wrong with it. Tonight I did and turned it off. Thank you, Jesus. I am still new.

Tonight at VBS at Word of Life Church in the closing ceremony there was a slide show that showed the cross and spoke of Jesus being crucified. I was reminded that we need to be reminded of the Cross and the suffering of Jesus every day, not just on Easter. Jesus Christ didn't just die for us, He suffered and died for us. Remember the Savior, Remember the Sacrifice always. Matthew 27:30 And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head. 31 And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him

In Genesis 28 Jacob saw angels going up and down the ladder to Heaven. He lay stones in the place as a memorial of this encounter. In Genesis 32 Jacob wrestled with an angel who was actually God Himself. Jacob was changed and renamed Israel when the wrestling match ended. God Himself made the memorial this time as He did a work in Jacob. Have you had a God encounter that you simply remember, or are you changed and renamed? One day we will all encounter Jesus and meet Him face to face. Are you ready? Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not. Luke 12:40
