12-1 Wednesday..hump day they call it. Do you remember the message you heard at your church on Sunday? Is it growing in you, through you and out of you to others? Don't allow the world to crowd out the WORD.

But all too quickly the message is crowded out by the cares of this life, the lure of wealth, and the desire or nice things, so no crop is produced.Mark 4:19

12-3 Today remember whose mighty hand is upon you guiding your hand in all that you do. He is our helper, our steady guide. He blesses with blessing from above and below!

But his bow remained steady, his strong arms stayed limber, because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel, because of your father's God, who helps you, because of the Almighty,who blesses you with blessings of the heavens above, blessings of the deep that lies below, blessings of the breast and womb. Genesis 49:24-25

12-4 The wheels of our minds are constantly turning. We are always thinking of something. Our minds sometimes become tired long before our bodies. Peaceful thoughts bring peace of mind. What are you thinking of today?

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things.
Philippians 4:8

12-5 What are your plans today? After the marvelous salvation God planned for us that we didn't deserve- before we even were, surely He deserves to be our top priority as we plan our day.

It is God who saved us and chose us to live a holy life. He did this not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan long befo...re the world began – to show his love and kindness to us through Christ Jesus. II Timothy 1:9

12-8 If today isn't going as you planned, remember God is God. His plans aren't always our plans, but the plans for our lives were laid in place by Him long ago. All things work together for the good even if we don't see it. Praise Him.

O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done marvelous things, things planned long ago. Isaiah 25:1

12-9 What do you hope for today? From what source do you find your hope? The world is an unsure place and does not offer any stability in which to find hope. The Word of God does. Let God's Word give you new hope today.

You are my refuge and my shield; your word is my only source of hope. Psalm 119:114

12-10 Do you believe? Why do you believe? The surest way to believe anything is to use all your senses. See and touch, taste and feel, hear Jesus for yourself.

And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world. John 4:42

12-11 In this season of preparing for the celebration of Christ' birth, may we not forget we should always be prepared, waitng and ready for His return.

"Be dressed for service and well prepared, as though you were waiting for your master to return from the wedding feast. Then you will be ready to open the door and let him in the moment he arrives and knocks. Luke 12:35-36

12-13 Jesus is My Savior but is He truly Lord of my life? Today may I sing a new old song to Him and truly mean it...."I love You and that's all I know." If I know I love Him and know He loves me my life will be completely complete. May I let that love show by making Him Lord of my life in all I do.

12-15 In this most holy season of light there are some who may feel they are surrounded by darkness. Be sensitive to those who suffer from depression during this festive time of year. Pray that they find our Lord, the Great Light who so easily turns darkness to light. Even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. Psalm 139:12

12-16 We must be careful that what we do for God is not self-promoting and careful not to be jealous of those who are promoted by man for their righteous works. These things accomplish nothing good and hinder God's Kingdom from going forward.

For wherever there is jealousy and selfish ambition, there you will find disorder and every kind of evil. James 3:16

12-17 God creatED everything, the Heavens and the earth. I am thankful for that, but aren't you so glad He is still in the creatING business.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.  Psalm 51:10            and one day...

For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be... remembered, nor come into mind. Isaiah 65:17

12-18 If you are at the point of thinking nothing will ever change; be prepared for big change. God shows up when we are at our weakest at His Mightiest! He brings sudden change. He calms storms!

And He arose and rebuked the wind and spoke unto the sea PEACE BE STILL and the wind ceased and there was a GREAT CALM!

12-19 Why are you sad and downcast and fearful? On this day may we all rejoice...For the promise in God's Word says GREAT joy shall be to all people. Not just joy for some but GREAT JOY for ALL. Hallelujah!

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people Luke 2:10

12- 21 We sometimes feel weak and unworthy of God's love for us. Weakness comes to our minds and spirits, as well as our bodies. If you feel weak today, remember the very same God who gave David the strength to kill a giant, is still giving strength to all who think they are weak.

Beat your plowshares into swords, and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong. Joel 3:10

12-23 Christmas is near. The naughty or nice Christmas nursery rhyme comes to mind today. This is the time of year all strive to be extra nice, but sometimes a little naughty sneaks in. Just as we correct our children when they aren't so nice, our Father in Heaven also corrects us. Praise Him for His correction.

Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live? Hebrews 12:9

12-25 Today many of us in North Mississippi woke up to a wonderful gift from God. He gave us beautiful white snow - the desire of so many hearts! Praise God!

He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes Psalm 147:16

12-28 Though sin banished man from God's presence, and earned man a sentence of death; God, the Giver of Life, devised a way for us to be reunited with Him forever. Praise God!

Like water spilled on the ground, which cannot be recovered, so we must die. But God does not take away life; instead, he devises ways so that a banished person may not remain estranged from him.

II Samuel 14:14

12-29 We have all heard there is nothing like a mother's touch. A mother's touch is meant to be filled with love and comfort. Loneliness, sickness, and fear fade when a child is held by their mother. If a mother's touch isn't available when you need it most remember, God our Father comforts just as a mother comforts a child.

I will comfort you there as a child is comforted by its mother.

12-30 Walking in the shadows and sitting in darkness is a lonely place to be. There is a Great Light available to shine into spiritual and emotional darkness. Darkness hides and shadows flee. Flip on the switch and let God's Light pour into your life today

The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light. And for those who lived in the land where death casts its shadow, a light has shined. Matthew 4:16

12-31 A New Year is beginning! Hold your head up and remember if God is for us who can be against us? We will not die, but live!!!! When we turst in God He saves us!!!

I will save you; you will not fall by the sword but will escape with your life, because you trust in me, declares the LORD.

Jeremiah 39:18
