2-1 Feeling "defriended" "unliked" and "unfollowed"? Take a deep breath, turn off FB and twitter for a moment and turn to Jesus He is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. He loves us with an everlasting love. Jesus asks that we follow Him. As we do that He will lift burdens and we will soar. But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

2-2 A great song.....I have decided to follow Jesus...no turning back, no turning back. ..the world behind me, the cross before me... no turning back, no turning back. A great verse... The Lord GOD has opened my ear; And I was not disobedient Nor did I turn back. Isaiah 50:5 Set your mind to follow Jesus today and DO NOT TURN BACK!

2-3  There is a "yet" some Christians forget. There is an "although" we don't always keep in tow. There is an "anyway" we have to take with us every day.
~Psalm 71:14 But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more. ~Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him:~Job 35:14 Although thou sayest thou shalt not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust thou in him. ~Psalm 78:23 (MESSAGE) But God helped them anyway, commanded the clouds and gave orders that opened the gates of heaven.

2-4  Love is in the air. Valentine "stuff" is everywhere waiting to be purchased to show our love to others. Yes, a red heart balloon pretty much says it all. As you buy the red hearts to express your love this month, think about how you should show Jesus you love Him...Give Him your whole heart. Deuteronomy 6:5 Love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

2-5  Quote from Landon Galloway from this morning's Hour Church at Word of Life Church Tupelo "We serve a God who is not handcuffed by our capabilities or our limitations." Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses. Psalm 107:19

2-6  Some think if you can't do something big for God, might as well do nothing at all. But the least is greatest in His Kingdom. The smallest acts are big in God's eyes if we do them with pure hearts and good, "God intentions." For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward. Mark 9:41

2-7  Some days there seem to be so many coming against us with confusion. Where are the peacemakers? Where is the peace? We should examine our own hearts and our own ways to find the answer. Sometimes it is up to us to bring about change. When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. Proverbs 16:7

2-8 If you feel chained, singing a sad refrain, lift your head and do not disdain, for our God always remains the same.
His love is astounding. His grace is abounding, His mercy resounding. Does that get your heart pounding?
If so...
I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvelous works. Psalm 9:1

2-9  The progression of God's Kingdom goes on with or without us. We must make ourselves available to be used by God in a spirit of humility, yet at the same time, we must boldly go where He calls us. The high and lofty one who inhabits eternity, the Holy One, says this: "I live in that high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I refresh the humble and give new courage to those with repentant hearts. Isaiah 57:15

2-10  Let us look to the cross; for its beauty is a comfort to all believers who are in the midst of a battle. To the lost, it is a light shining in the darkness beckoning all to come to find refuge and safety. To the dying, it brings hope for death is not the end. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:2

2-11   The snowflakes falling this morning remind me that we should not get comfortable with the way things are and the way we think things are to remain. If it is Winter you are bound to get Winter sooner or later, no matter how much you prefer Spring. God is a God of structure and changes not. Yet He constantly changes the weather, and people, and situations. Now is the time for change. Grow in God on this cold day.

2-12  This morning may we remember who our GOD is. May He bring to our remembrance all the wondrous miracles He has given throughout our lives and may we give Him all praise and honor and glory for each breath. He is your praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes. Deuteronomy 10:21

2-13  In the valley He is there! I will not fear He is with me always! Come closer Lord Jesus. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Psalm 23:4

2-14  Today as we express our love for others shamelessly may we remember the One who first loved us, the Giver of the gift of eternal life. Oh, how He loves us!
Keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. Jude 1:21

2-15 Sometimes the best way to have someone believe in you is to first believe in yourself.
Don't just say the words of one of the most quoted scriptures in the Bible, BELIEVE them. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

2-17  Today is Friday - that's a fact. I pray each of you has no lack. Look to God the Author and Finisher of faith - the Great Giver of mercy, love, and grace. But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. Psalm 86:25

2-19  Keep the faith today. Practice what you preach. Release the negative, cling to the positive. God is in control and we are VICTORIOUS. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. I Corinthians 15:57

2-21  The only good that is found in any of us is actually Christ Himself. Allow Him to rule your heart and mind today. He renews and restores. He makes all things new. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing Romans 7:18

2-22  God is in control always, but it helps tremendously when we voluntarily hand Him the controller of our life instead of making Him wrestle us down to get it. That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life and the length of thy days...Deuteronomy 30:20

2-23  Lord, help me to forget who I think I am today and be all that you say I am. Let the light you placed inside shine brighter than anything placed inside by me or by the world. While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them. John 12:36

2-28  Is the battle going on and on and on? Today follow the actions of a very wise man, Hezekiah. He knew the battle was coming and he prepared by stopping the waters from flowing so that the enemy could not quench his thirst there. He took the time to make darts and shields in ABUNDANCE. Are you furnishing water for your enemy? How many darts do you have ready? Use God's Word against the enemy. Do ...you have your shield of faith ready? So there was gathered much people together, who stopped all the fountains, and the brook that ran through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water? 5 Also, he strengthened himself, and built up all the wall that was broken, and raised it up to the towers, and another wall without, and repaired Millo in the city of David, and made darts and shields in abundance. II Chronicles 32:4-5

And verse 7...Be strong and courageous, be not afraid nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him:

2-29  Rising above all the things and people that bring us down daily is something we all aspire to do - to be the 'bigger man' - the 'better person' and hopefully actually display true Christian characteristics even in the middle of confrontations is a worthy goal. But remember the very best way and sometimes the only way to rise above is to allow God to lift you. He delivers me from my enemies. You also lift me up above those who rise against me; Psalm 18:48
