Some breakthrough moments are not happy moments. When the truth finally shines through sometimes it hurts deeply. To find how people really feel about us whom we love who we thought loved us cuts like a knife. But for healing to begin we have to get to the root of the problem even if the root is very bitter and hurtful. And remember God is the healer of all hurts big or small.

When God convicts you to do something, do it! No matter how hard you think it will be, whatever it is will free you. When God says, "Go say you are sorry" I suggest you go say you are sorry. Until you do there will be no peace. He will give you courage. He will give you the right words. And He surely will give you the right time. And NOW is the right time for no one is promised tomorrow; neither the one who is supposed to apologize nor the one who is supposed to be apologized to.
Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth. Proverbs 27:1

Just when you are closest to throwing in the towel and giving up, God has a way of stepping in. When you try to talk yourself into believing that maybe you aren't really supposed to be wherever you are, God lets you know He not only knows where you are but knows why you are there. God is good and merciful and true and does not forget a single promise He has made. Hang in there! God will let you know why He has you there. He hasn't forgotten you or the assignment He has for you in that place. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful; Hebrews 10:23

A favorite old hymn..."I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus the Nazarene, and wonder how He could love me, a sinner, condemned unclean." It is amazing that He loves us, saves us, heals, and delivers us. It is amazing that He answers prayers. Whether God answers a small prayer or a large prayer, we should be equally thankful and amazed. Tonight I stand prayerfully waiting for God to amaze me once more. May I always stand in awe of Him, allowing Him to amaze me and truly appreciate the amazement. Mark 6:51 And He went up unto them into the ship, and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.

Tonight I think of the prayers we pray. If we want our prayers to be most effective we need to get to the root of why we are asking God for what we are asking for in the first place. He does grant the desires of our hearts but...Are the wants and desires we pray for something that will line up with His Word and the plan God has for our lives? I have thought of prayers as being planted in a garden that God cares for. The prayers that we pray that aren't part of God's plan are heard and answered, But sometimes the answer is "No" and He weeds them out of the garden because they are not part of His plan for us.

In simple humility, let our gardener, God, landscape you with the Word, making a salvation-garden of your life. James 1:21-THE MESSAGE

Even though friends sometimes encourage us, there are times that all the encouragement in the world from friends cannot lift us to the place we truly need to be. Also, we cannot always find the strength within ourselves to lift ourselves. There is but one place to go in these times. Jesus Christ is our true transport from desolation to jubilation. He sees. He speaks. He touches. He heals and lifts ...us up immediately.

Luke 13: 10 And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. 11 And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself 12 And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. 13 And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God

Hebrews 10:14 It was a perfect sacrifice by a perfect person to perfect some very imperfect people. By that single offering, He did everything that needed to be done for everyone who takes part in the purifying process. (The Message ) Today think of
the cross. Think of His sacrifice. Look at it closely. You will never find a dent or flaw in God's perfect plan, His perfect sacrifice, Jesus Christ, who freely gave His life for all of us imperfect people.

In Matthew when the two blind men asked Jesus to have mercy on them, Jesus asked them did they believe He could heal them. They said, "Yea, Lord" and they were healed. To be healed of anything we must believe. We must hang on to our hope when there is nothing else left. Hang on to every promise God has given. God will do what He says He will do. Sometimes we simply need to say, "Yes, Lord."

When you come to the place that you know you are where God wants you to be, you will find a sense of peace like no other. Do not let the enemy use people or any other means to take it from you. Stand firm. Be bold. Be courageous. “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or dismayed..." II Chronicles 32:7

Well, Father's Day 2012 is coming to a close. I see all the posts by all the people who have done things with their dad today, or who have wonderful memories and are thankful for the dad they had. As I sit here and reflect on it all I could be sad and bitter for all the wonderful things I didn't get to do with a dad today, or because of all the good memories, I don't have. OR I could choose to be thankful for all the good my Heavenly Father has put in my life. Thank you, Father, that I am alive and well with family and friends who I love to make memories with every day. You are great and I praise you for your love that is like none other.

If Father's Day doesn't have much meaning to you because you never knew your father, was abandoned or abused by him, or just had one who pretended that you didn't exist... SING TODAY and CELEBRATE for there is ONE who loves you more than you can think, dream, imagine, or hope. I, and you, and all who think they have no father have a God in Heaven who is our Father forever and for always. Psalm 68:4 Sing to God, sing praises to his name; lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts; his name is the Lord; exult before him! 5 FATHER OF THE FATHERLESS and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation.

Up late thinking of all the events of what is now yesterday."No sense in crying over spilled milk". Praying about all the events that will happen on what is now today."Today is the tomorrow I longed for yesterday." Even praying about what will happen on what will now be tomorrow. "Tomorrow Tomorrow I love you tomorrow.."And guess what God was there yesterday, He is here today and He will be there tomorrow. I am never alone, even when it is late. God is awake always and He cares about what goes on in my life. He always has time to listen. He sees every hurt. He knows my every need. He loves me always

My mother used to have a saying, well actually she had a lot of them, but one was, "If I can't be the tablecloth, I don't want to be the dishrag." It is hard when we feel like the dishrag, just an afterthought, sometimes not even that. Sometimes we feel like the least of all as our hearts are broken into more and more pieces by those we love who once loved us. BUT GOOD NEWS! We are not dishrags to God! He has the KING's table set with a place reserved just for us. He thinks of us first. We are the apple of His eye. And instead of always feeling like the least of all, one day we shall be first. But many that are first shall be last, and the last shall be first. Matthew 19:30

Last night I tried to think of any prophecy that might have been spoken over me. I couldn't think of any. Does this mean I have nothing to look forward to coming to pass? No, because every single promise in God's Word is for me!! I am the head and not the tail, I shall live and not die, I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me. Great shall be the peace of my children. I shall ...go to all that He sends me. God is faithful to keep His WORD!!! I believe great things will come to be in my life. Open up God's Word today to find what God prophecies about you. Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations Deuteronomy 7:9

How often are we told not to overthink some things in our lives? You know just sit back and whatever will be will be? It is easy to tell someone this, but when it is you waiting to see what is going to be, it is not easy. Today pray for God's peace to take over the thinking of all those who are thinking that things are not looking too good. May God settle the minds of those who are at their wits ends quickly. Let today be the day that God brings restoration to all those who are losing all hope that, "This too shall pass." I am sick at heart. How long, O LORD, until you restore me? Psalm 6:3

Are you looking for something to come to pass quickly in your life? This could be the day of you suddenly. For God does some things for His people suddenly. I did them suddenly,(former things) and they came to pass Isaiah 48:3. And the LORD spake suddenly Numbers 12:4 and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, Malachi 3:1And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, Acts 2:2 God is a God of His Word...if you need Him to do something suddenly today..Go and seek Him. He has a way of showing up suddenly where His people are gathered together. Go and join a group of believers in worship today.

To be at peace with others, we must first be at peace with ourselves. To be at peace with ourselves we must be at peace with God. God takes away all confusion and hurt and distrust and anguish and bitterness and self-loathing and replaces it all with PEACE that only He can give. Oh, how I love JESUS! He is truly the peace giver and way maker. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

How do you describe the relationship we have with the God of the whole universe? God's love draws us to Him. God's grace keeps us in His care. God's mercy never lets us go no matter what. He is a loving, gracious, merciful God who will be with us always. Lord, thanks for loving even me.

God is so kind and loves us so much!!!! With the mighty love of God with us always, we know we are loved no matter who leaves us or disappoints us on this earth. He is love. He is the life-giver. Praise Him today! Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Psalm 63:3

If you feel like going outside and screaming, go ahead. Oh. by the way, I did too. Now let's go back outside and shout praises to God almighty who is and has always been in control of all things no matter how crazy life may seem. Lord, I praise you for every single day you allow me to live and experience life no matter how hard it is at times. You are God and you love me and that in itself is amazing and enough to shout about. Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee. Isaiah 12:6 (feel better going to work now)

Forging Ahead
Why do I wander aimlessly it seems,
As I endlessly whine and kick and scream?
Some days I want to pull the cover over my head and let it stay,
When God is telling me this is the day that He has made.
... I feel chaos surrounds me in this daily routine.
I stumble and fumble ignoring the most obvious things.
God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, I know;
Therefore I should rise above some things and just let them go.
Jesus conquered death; He is alive, not dead.
God said I am not the tail, but the head.
So, why do I wonder what it is I am supposed to do,
When God's Word tells me He will guide me in all truth?
Today may I learn to recognize the voice of God which speaks to me.
Today may the Lord open my ears to hear and my eyes to see,
As I forge ahead toward the greatest promise that He has given:
Those who endure to the end will be saved and see Heaven.
