There are days when things in our lives that we believe to be sure and certain fall apart and leave us feeling shattered and doubtful that anything or anyone is true and dependable. But we must remain hopeful and know this world is not our final destination. Praise God for the sureness of His Kingdom that He offers to those who believe and love Him. Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe. Hebrews 12:28
Remember to always be thankful for all that we have in life. Remember those who have made a sacrifice, many giving their lives so that we can have the things we have to be thankful for in this life And always remember Jesus who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may have the opportunity to thank Him for life everlasting when we leave this life behind. Lord, I praise you for all good things come from you.
Getting our feelings hurt happens so easily because we are human. How we handle hurt feelings is controlled by God's Spirit within us. Be careful about how you respond to your own emotions. Don't allow hurt to grow to envy, jealousy, or even hatred. Hell is hot and you don't want to go there because things didn't go your way. Just concentrate on God's way and in the end, all will be well. Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: Psalm 39:12
Sunday I was feeling down and my faith was running low. I was fearful and said, "What next God?" My faith faltered as I allowed myself to be discouraged about life in general. Sometimes things seem like a mess, don't they? But the same Jesus who calmed storms thousands of years ago still does. He loves me as much as He loved the disciples who doubted and feared what was next for them. So why should I fear and let my faith slip? And Jesus answered, "Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!" Then he stood up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly all was calm. Matthew 8:26
Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep Romans 12:15 How often we attempt to lift spirits and bring words of encouragement to those who are facing trials, sorrow, and pain in a deep dark valley? We even cry with them at times as we tell them, "There is hope God will bring you out." But what about those who are not in a valley? Today I remind you we are called to rejoice with those full of joy and peace on the mountain top. The way we react to those who are being blessed is as important as how we react to those who need one.
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, THE TRUTH, and the life: John 14:16
TRUTH equals freedom...
And ye shall know, THE TRUTH, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32
You can handle THE TRUTH.
(Jesus THE TRUTH said) Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; Luke 24:39
Reach out and touch Jesus today and be truly free!
When computers crash we can take them back to an earlier time, called a restoration point and hope the computer will work as it did at that point. The thing is whatever you were working on after that point is gone. What if our lives had restoration points? If you could go back to a previous time, but lose everything that happened after that time would you? Probably not because there are good things mixed in with the bad that we want to keep. But good news... God is a restorer. He can fix us when we crash and heal the hurt of everything we lose in the process. Just ask Him to fix you. If you are willing He will.
Unforgiveness is a destroyer. Forgive yourself. Love yourself. You are made in God's image to be the beautiful individual that no one else will ever be. You have a specific purpose that only you can accomplish in God's Kingdom. How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them. Psalm 139:17
Are you battle weary? Do you wonder how much more you can take? Don't give up when you feel the enemy has you captured and surrounded. God is still with you in this battle, fighting for you even, and He will provide you with the strength you need and will provide you with an escape if you allow Him to have total control of the entire situation. For by thee I have run through a troop, and by my God have I leaped over a wall. Psalm 18:29
Doubt is just a small little word that doesn't look too powerful. But when looking closely we find there is a "U" right in the middle. When "U" are in the middle of doubt you may not even realize that it is a powerful force used by the enemy to defeat. Doubt doesn't kill quickly. It brings a gradual stressful painful death to hopes, dreams, and faith itself. We first doubt ourselves, then others, and eventually God. Be careful not to place yourself in the middle of doubt. Don't doubt. BELIEVE and be BLESSED!!!! Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed." John 20:29
Spring is often thought of as the time for cleaning and pruning. Spring will soon be over. Have you got your pruning done? In John 15 Jesus spoke of true vines, branches, fruit, and pruning. Pruning can be thought of like cleaning and making room for new fruit. Jesus said that He is the vine and we are the branches. Are we cleaned and pruned and ready for new fruit? Jesus said we should already be ready. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. John 15:3 What are we waiting for? It is time for new fruit.
There is an emptiness deep within us that cries to be filled from our youth. We allow people to try to fill or try to show us how to fill the empty lonely places. Many are misguided and totally lost and emptier than they were when they first began their search. BUT if we allow God to, He will step in and pull us back on the right path filling all our empty places with joy, peace, hope and answers that only He can give. Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. Romans 15:3
God does not rejoice when anyone dies and goes to hell. He loves the alcoholic, the drug addict, the prostitute, the adulterer, the thief, and even the murderer. He desires that all come to repentance. Sadly many who are full of evil die without ever coming to know Jesus as their Savior. This breaks God's heart and what breaks God's heart should break ours. Forgive us Lord for our shortcomings in reaching a lost and dying world. Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: Proverbs 24:17
What all did you see with your eyes God gave you last week? It was a beautiful week, a little warm, but beautiful. Today praise Him for last week, praise Him for today. If you can't think of anything great God has done for you, think again. You are able to think. That is awesome. He is your praise; He is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes. Deuteronomy 10:21
